Legend In the Park – Spandau Ballet LIVE

It’s time to get New Wave Romantic again

It’s back and bigger than ever! The ‘Legend in the Park,’ returns to Howard Davis Park on Saturday 4th July. Last year saw the BBC’s The Voice Mentor and Welsh idol Sir Tom Jones take to the stage and wow audiences with his most memorable tracks. This time however, they’re going for GOLD! Everyone’s favourite 80’s New Romantic band Spandau Ballet are heading to blow audiences away with their New Wave style.

Formed in 1979, this London based band broke through in 1980 with their Debut single ‘To Cut a Long Story Short’ and since have had eight UK top 10 albums. They have had huge success in the 80’s with such classics as ‘True,’ ‘Through the Barricades’ and 80’s hit and karaoke favourite ‘Gold’. Although they broke up in 1990 they reformed for a one off reunion tour in 2009.

It must of spurred something on as they are going on a World Tour stopping over in such places as, Spain, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Dubai, Singapore and of course Jersey!

The Feeling as support

It doesn’t just stop there though as their supporting act is the pop rock superstars ‘The Feeling’ who will be warming up the crowds for Tom Hadley, Gary and Martin Kemp and the rest of the band in the evening. The Feeling are best known for such hits as ‘Join with us,’ ‘Sewn’ and ‘Fill My Little World.’ This band is sure to get the crowd ready for Spandau Ballet!
