Chocks away! – It’s the Jersey International Air Display

Thursday 11 September 2014 Little boy on dad's shoulders watching the air display

Start up the engines, spin the propellers and take to the skies as it’s the Jersey International Air Display on Thursday the 11 September.

Arguably one of the largest FREE air displays in Europe, it features many international military and civilian aircraft both past and present, many performing acrobatic demonstrations at break neck speeds, some of which even break the sound barrier!

Some of the aircraft are still to be confirmed but what has been confirmed is the almighty ‘Lancaster’ which is flying in from Canada specially for this performance! Plus no airshow would be complete without the RAFAT RED ARROWS  to bring the show to a close.

As well as all this excitement in the air, back down on earth there are also static displays at Jersey Airport, Peoples Park and at Lower Park with a chance to see some of these mechanical marvels up close.

I personally can’t wait for this event as it’s always been a favorite of mine as it always reminds me of seeing my first air display in Southend as a child!
