Spring Walking Week

Spring Walking Week

At last Spring has arrived and there is nowhere better to see this than in the beautiful island of Jersey.  Our largest Channel Island has so much going on in May and it is easy to get there, so come and join us!

The first big event of May is the Jersey Boat Show over the Bank Holiday weekend from the 4th but even if you cannot afford a boat, there is so much to see that the marina has an exciting buzz plus you can bungee jump!

If your passion is music then the Liberation Music Festival from the 8th offers a series of memorable events including Sir James Galway and the Royal Philharmonic orchestra.  There promises to be beautiful and atmospheric music in stunning settings around Jersey so there will be something to suit all tastes.  Make sure you are in Liberation Square on the 9th when you can join the islanders celebrating their liberation from occupying forces during World War II. This afternoon’s entertainment is completely free of charge.

Of course the best way to explore the island is during Spring Walking week which explores Jersey’s natural beauty in a series of free guided walks designed for your age and experience.  The Around Island walk is done over 5 days from the 11th and covers the entire coastline, a small charge covers the transfers to get you from your starting point each day. You will build up a great appetite for all the fresh and local produce that Jersey can offer! I am thinking of Royal potatoes, asparagus, local sea food, rich Jersey cream……….ooh I could go on and on!
